Accepted Proof of Address Documents in India

Document	Details / Notes
Aadhaar Card	Must be linked with mobile number for eKYC.
Passport	Accepted as both ID and address proof.
Voter ID (EPIC)	Issued by Election Commission of India.
Driving License	Must be valid and issued by an RTO.
Utility Bills	Electricity, water, telephone, or piped gas bill (not older than 2–3 months).
Bank Account Statement	From another regulated bank, typically last 3 months.
Ration Card	Accepted by some banks, especially in rural/semi-urban areas.
Registered Rent Agreement	Must be registered with the state government authority.
Property Tax Receipt	In case of owned property.
Letter from Employer	In case of company-provided accommodation, on official letterhead.
Municipal Tax Receipt or House Allotment Letter	For government employees.
Pension/Retirement Benefits Card	Government-issued with address.
Letter from a Recognized Public Authority or Public Servant	Verified and signed documents
